Missoni Launch!

Oh. My. Word! Missoni has finally come to Target! This launch was so flippin popular that I couldn't even get on the website to price check, fa reals. My girl Jane, loves Missoni and has been waiting for this launch for at least 5 or 200 months. She skipped class today to go to the launch and folks, this girl never skips class. She said there were so many products that she didn't even have time to get caught up in the clothes when she was whisked away by the great home products. The classic Missoni zig zag has taken over! So get in there and get some normal human priced designer products!

This is just a small sample of the Missoni treasures at Target so run to Target a.s.a.p. or try the website--> HERE. Unless of course the website is still crashed by all the crazed fashionistas!

Look for Less Lunes

Jessica Simpson.
What can I say? The girl ruined everyone's life. And by everyone I mean any Cowboy fan alive. I mean I'm all for hot blondes dating hot quarterbacks, it's the way of the universe after all.
And I realize that she may not have directly made Romo drop that potentially game winning snap on Sunday, but I'm gonna blame her anyway.
Here's the one good thing about Jess though, she's totes fab. I love her shoe designs and she always looks sharp. (Except when she decides to wear ill fitting high-waisted jeans
But because she ruined the Cowboys' life, this look for less lunes is going to one-up Jessica. So below you can find Jessica's outfit. Only better. It also includes a little Cowboy pizzazz, just to rub it in.

Quirky Coneja

I am notorious for being a colorphobe. It's not by choice that I have this problem, it's just that I really enjoy neutral palettes. Because the colors I wear aren't so loud I feel that I can play with shapes instead, which is just as fun as playing with colors. Consequently my darling roommate, Jane has the same "issue." But a little while ago we decided to go "absolutely bonkers" and throw everything we owned that remotely had color in it, on our bodies. In our minds the result was to be ghastly, but were pleasantly surprised to find this instead:

(Jessica Simpson pumps, Old Navy cardigan & blouse, East 5th skirt)

Our color adventure was short lived but has changed our perspective a bit, we might even start going loco and mix some prints, GASP! Hope your day is filled with color and fun my fashion queens and kings!

p.s. the SUPER duper fun nail tutorial will go up later tonight. Happy Weekend!

Take it To the MAX(i)

(Mimi Chica dress, Report booties, Gap jacket, thrifted sunglasses & clutch)
For two summers now I've been wanting a maxi dress. I never allowed myself to wear them because I'm so short I feel that this particular silhouette would be pretty horrendous for my height issue. Finally I decided enough was enough! Mostly because I found this one for $5 at TJMaxx and I can NEVER pass up a good deal. With these black booties and white blazer I felt right at home in this dress. I'm also very excited at the prospect of playing with layers to transition maxi dresses into the fall season. What do you think?

p.s. If you haven't already, forget the "No White After Labor Day" rule.

Look for Less Lunes!

As any other self respecting fashion addict, I have my style queens. When it comes to my collection of fashion muses, I've really got a lot of variety. So in a new section I'm calling "Look for Less Lunes" I'm going to be choosing a celeb and recreating the pictured look for less. Pretty simple right?
First up: my girl Jenny Lo

I don't know if it's the latin in me or what, but I have always loved Jennifer. What I love most about her style is that she doesn't mess around. Even though clearly she's going casual in this look she's still rocking sky high heels. Which reminds me, it's so important to remember that even when you're "not going anywhere important" that you still put effort into your appearance. Rule #1: If people have eyesight where you're headed, pay attention to what you're putting on your body.

Fall!..... PSYCHE!

So this morning it was pouring rain and being really cold. This absurdly sudden change in climate made me frantically look for weather appropriate clothing. Unfortunately, I failed miserably, about four times to be exact. But then finally I threw on this number and everything felt right. So while this week is being strangely cold, I will use it to my advantage to practice for the inevitable come of fall.

(Boots thrifted, Forever 21 jeans, Forever 21 tank, Absolutely Creative Worldwide cardi, Birthday scarf, Old Navy shades, Forever 21 ring, bracelet from Honduras)

Ya'll, I'm so excited for the new school year that I can hardly stand it! My new neighbors, while crazy, provide for some pretty entertaining spectacles. My new roommates are just darling and one is a professional photog (she took these pictures! to see more go here--> Lauren) and the other is a professional coneja! I hope you all are having just as much fun!
